Fighter pilots pull funny faces
FUNKY CHICKEN.

One of those things that suck, cos they bust their GUTS getting to this point - and if they are just not physiologically inclined to take the G's then they have to leave.

How do you keep the ISS stable in orbit?
I didnt bother watching for more that 1 second. He opened his mouth, and my imagination took over:
I saw him thinking about the question, pausing, then looking defeated and simply saying "...Fuck." as the ISS started to gyrate at increasingly impossible magnitudes.

Effect of "Coke" on sperm motility
AS IF the ratio is conservative - in the lab its in a beaker, and mixed until there is 99%+ distribution. In the vagina the sperm would remain against the vaginal wall, and often in a naturally formed "nook" with protection against subsequent liquid flows of carbonated coke fluid (accounting for the fact that it it wouldnt behave like a strict liquid, rather its behavior would be a conglomeration of liquid and expanding gas).

WIKI: Motility is a biological term which refers to the ability to move spontaneously and actively, consuming energy in the process.

How could creationism not be dishonest?
I think EVERY youtube video uncovering the flaws in creation should explain the neatly overlapping predictions that various fields of science came to, all independently. Like he does at ~8:00.

This imho is the most compelling, least opinionated, and authoritative argument: Which I will soon drop on my wonderful, but creationist housemate.

Nick Griffin MEP Lifts Lid on “Climate Change” Lobbyists
His arguments consist of sensationalist presumption and hyper(!)bole. No one, except the irrational subset of climate change skeptics would pay credence to this idiot.

i.e. suckers.

Terrifying Football Stadium Fire
So I dont get what happened with the dude walking on fire. Looks like the camera man saw something, by the time he zoomed in, people around the burning man seemed to be backing away and watching - and then suddenly snapped into action.

I wonder if his clothes where just so hot they "reached flashpoint" - or maybe he was hit with something like burning plastic. Whatever happened it looks like he, and the others around him were confused by the heat and smoke.

Regardless it looked like his jacket was made from that sweet 80s polyester all right

Climate Change - Those Hacked E-mails
>> ^Winstonfield_Pennypacker:
... they were wiling to sell their scientific integrity, and the credibility of the entire scientific community to do it.

Hang on - if individuals fudged their numbers, its an indictment of that individual.

>> ^Winstonfield_Pennypacker:
I'm a statistician. I see this kind of crap every day, and it gives my profession a bad name.

I'll tell you what makes statisticians look bad: Statistics

So often there IS a story in the data, but all data is different. I can understand data that has little "statistical precedent" must take time to learn what models/techniques work well. And when the modus operandi HAS to be experimentation - Im sure it looks awkward, error-prone, and ugly when viewed through the cherry-picked lense of a couple of emails.

Would this be a sensible observation? Or do you think its simply endemic fraudulence?

>> ^Winstonfield_Pennypacker:
I've seen some of the AGW numbers. The original data is never in the dataset. It's always the 'weighted' data, which is a big red flag to me.

It seems this red flag makes you basically indifferent to any other argument, and I'd like to have a look.
Do you mind linking the numbers, with a few words of summary?

>> ^Winstonfield_Pennypacker:
If a source doesn't trust handing out their raw data, then it usually means they don't want you to see it because it was flawed data to start with, or they altered it so radically with their 'models' that it might as well be gibberish. The AGW movement has been trying very hard to make insignificant data 'meaningful' for years. That much was always blatantly obvious. The leaks merely prove that their methodology is flawed, and therefore their conclusions are bunk.

Ok so this is obviously your opinion before and after these emails. Why did you have this opinion before?

EVE Online - Dominion fleet battle trailer
Im never playing this game - Id get to addicted.

For a non-player struggling very hard to understand exactly what was happening - the audio distortion was a bit much.

I saw the "ruski's" disregard the one fleet's request to help support and warp after a retreating fleet. I THINK those ruskies got smashed by some capital ships that warped in, then it got a bit hazy.

Then a stealth ruski radio'd in the position of another fleet - which at the very end looked like it was getting smashed.

When no one's looking: the lives of runaway teens
Once when I was in Uni I came up with a plan to save money for a party by eating probably ~70g pasta, and a 1 cup of porridge a day for about 4 days.

By the 4th day I was just lying on my bed starving and exhausted - and utterly demotivated. I had about $2 in change handy, and decided I wanted to walk to the shops to buy something - but I couldnt be stuffed because I felt so ratshit.

Going a week without food would be ROUGH. You'd feel shakey whenever you would stand, let along walking somewhere.
